(KAREE11) –WASHINGTON – Wayne Farms, LLC, a Georgia company, has recalled 4,059 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken products due to undercooking.
The USDA released information about the ready-to-eat grilled chicken breast items. They were produced on Aug. 1, 2016 and Aug. 29, 2016. The chicken was sold as 9-lb. foodservice bulk cases of “Fully Cooked Grilled Chicken Breast Fillets” with case code 22121 and 22.5-pound cases of “Fully Cooked Flame Grilled Chicken Breast Fillets.”
According to the USDA the locations in Minnesota where the products were sold are: Bruce’s Foods in Wyoming, Don’s Food Pride in Appleton, Doug’s Supermarket in Warroad, Lueken’s Village Foods North in Bemidji, Plantenberg’s Food Pride in Richmond and Service Food Market in Fergus Falls and Perham.
Look for the establishment number “EST. 45411” or “P-45411” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
There have been no confirmed adverse health impact according to the USDA and the problem was discovered during a routine records review by the company when it was noted that a similar product had an appearance of being undercooked.
Consumers are being asked to not consume the products and throw them away or return to their purchase place
