by Kulani Jalata : Edao Oda Boru Cancer Treatment Fund
Eda’o Odaa is a long-time member of the diaspora Oromo community in Tennessee, he is a life-long participant in the Oromo national struggle and he is an advocate for human rights in Oromia. He is a father, a friend for many, and has throughout his life selflessly helped others in need in the community and beyond. Generally speaking, Edao Oda has dedicated countless energies to the Oromo cause for which he has immensely suffered for as a political prisoner, torture survivor and as a political exilee.
His diagnosis with cancer has resulted in serious financial challenges for getting treatment. The financial burdens Edao Oda is facing regarding hospital bills to undergo chemotherapy and radiation are heavy, are not fully covered by insurance, and his life depends on getting such treatment. Furthermore, because he is sick, he can no longer work and is facing further financial burdens regarding his living expenses.
Edao Oda’s concerned Oromo friends in North America are humbly requesting that all of those concerned about the life and wellbeing of our dear friend contribute whatever you can to this Go Fund Me page to help with his hospital and living expenses. Every amount of donation matters.
After all of the years we have known Edao Oda and have received his services, dedication and kindness, it is the least we can do. GoFundMe
