A Plea for an urgent Action! Immediate action is needed to end the communication blockade in western and southern Oromia!
A PLEA FOR AN URGENT ACTION
Thinking about the Oromo people of Ethiopia under Command Post. The Ethiopian government has isolated them from the rest of the world, but the world is never isolated from them. The people in western and southern Oromia have been kept in the dark; they are denied access to the internet and telecommunication. It is unacceptable that this has continued even in the face of the fast-spreading pandemic Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Access to information and communication channels are critical at such times. First and foremost, the responsibility lies with the government of PM Abiy Ahmed. The rest of the Oromo people, along with the people of the entire country, should put pressure on the government to lift the information blockade. The international community has a moral obligation to get involved. Immediate action is needed to end the communication blockade in western and southern Oromia!
