  1. Indeed, our farsighted hero martyr, Haacaaluu Hundeessaa!

Being a person who was fortunate enough to hear first hand witness statements from my honourable grandfather while sitting on his laps (five decades ago), I can confirm Haacaaluu Hundeessaa’s assertion with confidence. Although it may not be necessary here, my ancestors belonged to and lead the Oromo subgroup who owned part of central Oromia before they were conquered by the naftagna forces. My grandad was the third generation of Oromos who had resisted the naftagna system, and had deep understanding of why the naftagna was number one enemy of the Oromo people. He also clearly predicted that the naftagna will remain eternal enemy of the Oromo people. The naftagna system is incompatible with everything Oromo because its survival is dependant on destroying Oromoness. That is, for the naftagna system to exist, let alone thrive, with all its ugly faces of subjugation, its short-term as well as long-term objectives are underpinned by anti-Oromo policies.

Note that we do not refer to the Amhara people when we say naftagna. Being an Oromo, I can count numerous naftagna Oromos as well as Amharas who have never been naftagna. To put it clearly, we have naftagna Oromos in our family and Amhara relatives who are not naftagna. We are talking about the system which has subjugated the Ethiopian peoples and also kept the Amhara people in abject poverty while trading in their name. Walelign Mekonnen was not naftagna to us as much as Haile Fida was not naftagna. Menilik was naftagna to us as much as Gobana Dache was naftagna. Today’s naftagna/neo-naftagna are not different. We expect the Amhara people to come out and denounce the naftagna/neo-naftagna system because their lives today and their future destiny is highly intertwined with the lives of the Oromo people and other Ethiopian nation nationalities. They must join their Oromo counterparts in fighting and defeating the naftagna.

By the way, like most Oromo families, my ancestors defended Ethiopia both at Adawa and Matcho, putting their lives at risk. However, the naftagna system never changed its core objectives as the enemy of the Oromo people. As Haacaaluu Hundeessaa clearly articulated, the naftagna system was the enemy of the Oromo people and nation nationalities of Ethiopia in the past. The naftagna system is also the worst enemy of the Oromo people and other Ethiopians today. Above all, the naftagna system, which is crawling to be reimposed as neo-naftagna system spearheaded by Abiy Ahmed and his anti-Oromo handlers, will remain the most dangerous enemy of the Oromo people and other peoples of Ethiopia. Bang on, Haacaaluu Hundeessaa! “The naftagna was the enemy of the Oromo yesterday; the naftagna is the enemy of the Oromo today; the naftagna will remain the enemy of the Oromo tomorrow!” Naftagna/neo-naftagna = Enemy yesterday; enemy today; enemy tomorrow. Period!

Oromo, qeerroo and qarree: take serious note of the fact. The naftagna must be defeated, convincingly, if the great Oromo people have to continue as a respected nation, living in peace and dignity. Make the right choices and use your immense potential to regain your freedom and dignity as a nation. Remember: you are not being cursed to carry the naftagna on your shoulders and feed the neo-naftagna gangsters and gangs in Addis as well as other garrison cities and towns. You are not being cursed to be taken hostages in your ancestral lands; you are free to refuse to cooperate with gantuu and galtuu who work for the anti-Oromo naftagna. Wara abbaa garaa didaa! You are endowed with bright children, qeerroo and qarree, who have refused subjugation. Listen to your leaders and follow them towards your inalienable freedom.

Just imagine, Oromo, that you refuse to take your produces to Addis Ababa and other cities, where your enemies consume your grains, milk, cheese, butter, meat, fruits, vegetables, eggs, fire woods, construction materials, etc., and conspire to destroy you. Imagine that you refuse to allow electricity and water supplies to these garrison cities and fight back disposal of their wastes (rubbish) on your farmlands. Imagine that you cut them off and disable their capacity of using naftagna structures to attack you. Imagine that you deprive the gangsters and gangs in Addis Ababa who consume raw meats and abuse you instead of thanking you for filling their bellies whilst you live in poverty. Imagine that you refuse to pay any tax to the regime repressing you, incarcerating your brights, mass killing your children, brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers. Imagine that you say no to the Ethiopian regime and act in unison to defend yourselves.

Definitely, you have the power to put the naftagna/neo-naftagna gangsters and gangs, riding Abiy Ahmed’s regime, in their place by simply holding back your supplies. Thus, the great Oromo people and nation nationalities of Ethiopia: you must join hands and fight the uncivilized, backward naftagna system for once and for all. You must deny the neo-naftagna as well as their political parties such as PP and “EZEMA” cooperation and footholds in Oromia and beyond.

    Down, down,down PP!
    Down, down, down naftagna/neo-naftagna!
Down, down, down Abiy Ahmed with his deceptive handlers!
    Abiy Ahmed must go!
    Victory to the multinational Ethiopia!

    Oromia shall be free!
